Hello quilters, family and friends. This is my first post in my adventure into 'blogland.' I wouldn't have made it this far if not for the efforts of my good friend Jamie of
http://www.babyboomerquiltingbee.blogspot.com/. I have been living in NYC since Aug'09 where my husband has been enrolled in seminary and we will be here for 3 years. We moved here from LA where we had lived for 12 years and I miss all my quilting friends, pokino group and church members. We sold our 3-bedroom house with 2-car garage and both cars and are now living in a less than 400-sq ft apartment. But we are right across the street from the school so there's a very short commute for my husband. My sewing table is near a window which looks across to the street and seminary. When the weather is nice I have my window open a little and can hear the chimes for the different services, the chatter of the kids in daycare as they line up holding hands to walk across the street to the playground and I can see the trees leafing out and all the lovely grounds of the seminary. All of which prompted me to title my blog A View from My Window. This blog is also an attempt to better keep in touch with family and friends since I'm not very good at keeping up with my email or Facebook page. So I'll be talking about my daily life, thoughts, quilting, and my life in the Big Apple.
Hi Mary -- welcome to Blogging! I can't wait to start seeing the "Quilts for Kids" you have been so busy working on this year.
